Sylvia Striplin is a singer based in New York and is one of five children.
Sylvia sang with a couple of groups including Aquarian Dream ('You're A Star', 1978), before Roy Ayers signed her to his Uno Melodic label in 1980.
Here she sang with Eighties Ladles in addition to stirring UK dancefloors with her one solo single 'Give Me Your Love' (via Champagne / DJM, 1980).
The 'Give Me Your Love' album arrived a year later and was recorded in California and New York, respectively.
'Give Me Your Love' featured many of Roy Ayers backing band with Roy contributing his songwriting skills on several of the compositions as well as producing the set.
